Ce jour voit la r\u00e9alisation du 1er vol d&rsquo;un h\u00e9licopt\u00e8re avec son pilote, Paul CORNU, qui d\u00e9colle dans un champ pr\u00e8s de Lisieux en Normandie. L&rsquo;appareil s&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e8ve de 1,50 m, se maintient quelques secondes en vol stationnaire, puis se repose sans aucun d\u00e9g\u00e2t. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019h\u00e9licopt\u00e8re Paul Cornu \u00e9tait muni d\u2019une selle, de quatre roues de v\u00e9lo et de deux h\u00e9lices sustentatrices de six m\u00e8tres de diam\u00e8tre en guise de rotor. Son moteur \u00e9tait un Antoinette de 24\u00a0ch. C\u2019est une immense courroie de 22\u00a0m\u00e8tres qui actionne les deux h\u00e9lices. \u00c0 chaque extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 de l\u2019appareil, un plan inclinable re\u00e7oit l\u2019air refoul\u00e9 par l\u2019h\u00e9lice et assure la propulsion horizontale.
