Un peu apr\u00e8s 8 heures, Henri Farman d\u00e9colle \u00e0 bord de son biplan Voisin, muni d&rsquo;un moteur Antoinette, sur le terrain d&rsquo;aviation d&rsquo;Issy-les-Moulineaux. Il veut remporter le Grand Prix Deutsch\/Archdeacon, dot\u00e9 de 50 000 francs, en bouclant le premier kilom\u00e8tre en circuit ferm\u00e9.<br>Farman franchit la ligne de d\u00e9part, vire 544 m\u00e8tres plus loin et atterrit 1 minute 28 secondes plus tard devant la commission de contr\u00f4le de l&rsquo;A\u00e9ro-Club de France.
